Our founder, Sherb Brown, spent more than two decades running Bobit Business Media — the largest fleet publishing company in the world. He watched great suppliers struggle to prove the value of their marketing spend, and he watched fleet managers get buried in irrelevant noise. He knew there had to be a better way.
So he built one. Fleet-Connection is founded on radical transparency — we give our clients the engagement data that most media companies keep to themselves. We have 2.1 million U.S. fleet records, updated daily. We reach over 100,000 fleet decision-makers every week. And everything we do is built around one goal: connecting the right suppliers with the right fleets at the right time.

Sherb Brown
Founder & CEO
Sherb was born and raised in the fleet business — and it shows. As the former President and Chief Revenue Officer of Bobit Business Media, the world’s largest fleet publisher, he spent more than two decades at the center of the industry, overseeing iconic titles including Heavy Duty Trucking, Automotive Fleet, Work Truck, and Government Fleet, along with their websites and marquee events. In that time, Sherb worked with hundreds of fleet suppliers and fleet managers, gaining a rare, ground-level understanding of what makes fleet marketing actually work — and what doesn’t.
That frustration with the status quo—marketers investing without knowing who was truly listening—was the spark behind Fleet-Connection. Sherb founded the company on a principle of radical transparency, building a platform that delivers the kind of powerful engagement data that competitors keep to themselves. His mission is simple: connect the right suppliers with the right fleet decision-makers at the right time, with content that genuinely helps them solve problems.

Michelle Mullen
COO
With more than 25 years in sales and marketing consulting, Michelle brings a breadth of experience that few can match. She has built and executed marketing and advertising strategies for businesses ranging from local independents to major national brands spanning the fleet, automotive aftermarket, and beauty sectors. Her work has touched everything from content strategy and media planning to full campaign development, giving her a holistic view of what moves the needle for both small teams and large enterprises.
At Fleet-Connection, Michelle applies that versatility to help fleet suppliers reach their audiences more effectively. Whether it’s shaping a content approach, refining an advertising strategy, or guiding a brand new to fleet media, she brings the same consultative, results-focused mindset she’s honed across dozens of industries and clients over her career.

Katie Brown
Director of Content & Events
Katie brings an unlikely but powerful combination to fleet safety: deep content instincts and a genuine understanding of human behavior. As Fleet-Connection’s Director of Content and Events, she develops the fleet safety editorial that reaches decision-makers across the country — the articles, reports, and resources that help fleet operators keep their drivers safe and their trucks on the road.
She’s also a core part of what makes the Safer Fleets Forum run, helping bring the series to cities across the U.S. and connecting local fleets with the suppliers and experts who can make a real difference for their operations.
Katie recently completed her accelerated BS in Applied Psychology and MA in Counseling at NYU’s Steinhardt School — which, if you’ve read her work, makes a lot of sense. She has a natural ability to communicate complex safety topics in ways that actually resonate with the people who need to act on them. With a social media following of over 400,000, she also understands how audiences consume and engage with content in ways that most fleet media professionals simply don’t.

Justin Miller
Vice President of Sales
Justin grew up in the trucking business and never really left. He launched his career at a Chicago-area marketing and advertising agency specializing in heavy-duty trucking and construction, before moving into the media side of the industry when he joined Bobit Business Media in 2008 as a Regional Sales Manager. Over the next decade-plus at Bobit, he rose through the ranks to become Publisher of School Bus Fleet and Metro magazines while also overseeing fleet sales across the Northeast, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin for Heavy Duty Trucking and the broader fleet portfolio.
That combination of on-the-ground trucking roots and deep media sales experience makes Justin uniquely effective at helping fleet suppliers connect with their target audiences. He is a board member of Trucker Buddy International and a frequent contributor to Fleet-Connection, and he has worked alongside hundreds of industry suppliers over his career to build campaigns that actually reach the people who matter.

Lindsay Crauder
Director of Operations & Events
If something needs to get done at Fleet-Connection, it’s a safe bet Lindsay is already on it. She brings a rare mix of communications savvy and operational horsepower built across work with start-ups, established companies, and live events — the kind of breadth that lets her shift seamlessly from crafting a message to building the logistics behind it.
Lindsay is the driving force behind the Safer Fleets Forum, Fleet-Connection’s series of intimate, regional events designed to give local fleets face-to-face access to the suppliers who can help them. From venue logistics and vendor coordination to attendee experience and day-of execution, she makes the whole thing look easy — which, anyone in events will tell you, is the hardest part.
She holds degrees in English and Media Studies from Pomona College and lives in Long Beach with her husband Robbie, their three-legged dog Lasso, and what is reportedly an impressive apron collection.

Dayton Brown
Data Scientist
Dayton is the engine under the hood at Fleet-Connection. A seasoned database consultant specializing in T-SQL and SQL Server Integration Services, he brings rigorous technical expertise to one of the most valuable assets in fleet media: the data itself. Dayton is responsible for building and maintaining Fleet-Connection’s fleet databases, continuously finding ways to keep them fresh and accurate, and developing new audience segmentation opportunities that give our marketing partners a sharper, more targeted view of the market.
In an industry where the quality of your audience data is everything, Dayton’s work is what makes Fleet-Connection’s promise of radical transparency possible. His ability to turn complex datasets into actionable targeting intelligence is a core competitive advantage — and the reason our clients know not just who’s reading, but who’s actually ready to buy.
