Day & Ross Pilot Proves Predictive Fatigue Tech Reduces Risk

Last Updated: November 17, 2025By

Fleet managers constantly seek cutting-edge strategies to enhance driver safety. Day & Ross, a leading North American transportation and logistics provider, recently completed a successful pilot. This pilot validates a significant shift in safety protocols. This initiative focused on leveraging predictive fatigue risk management using the Readi™ platform developed by Fatigue Science.

Transitioning to Proactive Risk Mitigation

Fatigue is a primary safety concern for every fleet professional. The Readi platform addresses this challenge by moving beyond standard reactive measures. Instead, the AI-powered system provides non-wearable, predictive fatigue insights. It can forecast risk up to 18 hours in advance. This critical forecasting capability allows dispatchers to proactively intervene with drivers deemed to be at risk. For example, supervisors can log fatigue countermeasures such as rest breaks or route adjustments immediately. Laura Dickinson, Vice President of Safety & Compliance at Day & Ross, noted the system provides “a valuable step in proactive fatigue risk mitigation.” The goal is clear: prevent incidents before they even become a possibility.

Impressive Results and Clear Scalability

The initial Day & Ross pilot program yielded strong operational results. Specifically, the pilot saw a 70% driver participation rate in fatigue assessments, clearly surpassing their internal success benchmarks. Moreover, dispatch and safety teams logged high volumes of countermeasures, indicating strong platform adoption. Technical integration was also successful. The system connected with PeopleNet/Platform Science data streams. This allowed seamless, live drive/rest data monitoring for 155 drivers. These outcomes demonstrate how easily the platform can integrate into existing fleet operations. Furthermore, the company is now preparing for a broader rollout. It will deploy Readi across its various regions and operations. Consequently, this success cements Fatigue Science’s position as a leader in delivering scalable, proactive solutions for the transportation industry.
